Nazareth are rightly lauded for their powerful originals, but it is probably by stamping their identity indelibly on other people's songs that they gained the keys to Rock Valhalla; notably with their versions of 'Love Hurts' (#1 for a year in Norway!) and Joni Mitchell's 'This Flight Tonight'. with their no-nonsense brand of Hard Rock, elevated by lead singer Dan McCafferty's incredible voice, Nazareth won themselves a significant global following in the 1970s that remains loyal four decades on.
