The hard bop bassist's final album as a bandleader before his untimely death in 1963 is widely considered to be his masterpiece. This reissue is even more essential, as it includes all of the incendiary jazz tracks from the original release plus several of the full-length versions that were edited down to conform to the LP format! Rounding things out are a trio of lost gems that originally appeared on the ridiculously rare Jazz on the Bounce compilation! Boplicity Remastered.

Tracks 1 to 8 originally issued as Dootone LP DTL 247 (1958) [r=13526613]. Tracks 10 to 12 originally issued on Bel Canto LP 1004 (1959) [r=5343863]. Tracks 1 to 9 mono, others stereo. Comes in a digipak including an 8-page booklet with notes in English. Made in the EU.
