Description:
Benjamin Britten's music formed one of the pillars of the Czech Philharmonic's concert programs under it's chief conductor Karel Ancerl. The Czech premiere of the War Requiem, with the participation of superlative foreign soloists like Gerald English and John Cameron, took place less than four years after it's world premiere. These are previously unreleased unique recordings from the Prague Radio archives.
