The album is a dance 2-CD. - Limited 2 CD version features a bonus disc of B-sides and Remixes. Having first exploded onto the UK dance scene in '97 with the underground smash 'Flylife', Basement Jaxx duo Felix and Simon really hit their stride with the 1999 crossover behemoth 'Red Alert'. Since then, a series of quirky, fascinating, immaculate self-written, self-produced singles have followed, from the punk-ragga menace of 'Jump N Shout' to the buoyant, bouncy pop of 'Romeo' and heavy electro menace of 'Where's Your Head At'. This essential collection gathers the finest of the A-sides together for the first time and successfully closes Chapter 1 in the Jaxx's quest for world domination. Long may they reign! Track 2-06, "Good Luck (Live)", was recorded live at Brixton Academy, London, March 18th 2004.
Track 2-08, "Broken Dreams (Acoustic)", was recorded at The Dairy, Brixton.
Track 2-13, "Jus 1 Kiss (The Isley Bootleg)", contains elements of "Who's That Lady" performed by [a=The Isley Brothers]. Although the credits mention 'Isley' only once, according BMI this track was written by O'Kelly, Ronald and Rudolph Isley.
Track 2-14, "Romeo (Acoustic)", was recorded at The Dairy, Brixton.
No tracks on CD1 had their remix / version names given; these have been updated in the tracklist to what's actually on the release itself.
