Schubert/Janacek by Herbert Schuch, released 6 May 2014. This version of Schubert/Janacek comes as a 1xCD. -

For this CD Herbert Schuch has not only selected two composers but also two different instruments. He plays the A-major Sonata on a Fazioli grand piano that provides him with a somewhat more slender sound. The Schubert program is divided by Leos Janacek's 1905 Sonata; this is almost like an 'Unfinished,' for the composer burned the third movement shortly prior to the premiere.
