He influenced innumerable musicians, and remains one of the most significant tenor saxophonists in jazz history. He received many awards, among them a posthumous Special Citation from the Pulitzer Prize Board in 2007 for his "masterful improvisation, supreme musicianship and iconic centrality to the history of jazz."Released through Rhino Records vinyl only imprint [l152823]. Like most Rhino reissues - Rhino pressed both a US version and an EU version [r3897169]. This is the US pressing.
Judging from the matrix nos, plating was done at [l66254] (19023). Front shrink wrap has large [l152823] hype sticker on it including Bar Code.
