It pairs the saxophonist with the great Elmo Hope on piano and the brilliant and enigmatic trumpeter Dupree Bolton, who would never record again with Land. Another complete quintet album by Harold Land, Take Aim, recorded the following year, has been added here as a bonus. Essential Jazz Classics.
This release presents Harold Land's complete original 1959 album The Fox (Contemporary S7619), which pairs the saxophonist with the great Elmo Hope on piano and the brilliant and enigmatic trumpeter Dupree Bolton, who would never record again with Land.
