Side B from an amazing 1958 session by the Miles Davis Sextet [...].
"Ascenseur Pour L'Echafaud" is a legendary jazz album by Miles Davis, originally recorded as the soundtrack for Louis Malle's 1958 French film of the same name. This LP edition from Jazz Wax R captures Davis at his most innovative, blending moody improvisations with haunting melodies that perfectly complement the film?s noir atmosphere. The recording session was famously spontaneous: Davis and his band improvised while watching scenes from the movie, resulting in an evocative and atmospheric masterpiece that stands alone as one of jazz?s essential recordings. Jazz Wax R is renowned for its high-quality reissues of classic jazz albums, ensuring audiophiles experience these masterpieces with exceptional sound fidelity and authentic packaging.
