Born in Chengdu, China, violinist Ning Feng studied at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London. The recipient of prizes at the Hanover International, Queen Elisabeth and Yehudi Menuhin International violin competitions, Feng was also awarded first prize in the 2006 International Paganini Competition. Now based in Berlin and performing worldwide, Feng is developing an international reputation as an artist of great lyricism and tremendous bravura. This second volume in his series of works for solo violin features works by Bartok, Prokofiev and, Hindemith.

Comes with 25th anniversary documentary of the Amsterdam Sinfonietta on DVD-V called "Amsterdam Sinfonietta Revealed - a portrait by Claire Pijman". Note: the barcode on the traycard contains a typo as it refers to another release on Channel Classics (CCS SA 34413 by Ning Feng playing violin solo sonates by Bartók, Prokofiev and Hindemith). To correct this mistake a sticker with the correct barcode was put over the incorrect barcode on the outside plastic wrapper (sealing).
