Sadly, on the evening of Sunday, November 9th, 2008, she gave her last performance. Miriam collapsed from a cardiac arrest during a performance in Italy, at a benefit concert against organised crime. Created jointly by Gallo and the Makeba Trust, this beautiful compilation outlines her career in 38 well-chosen gems from her extensive catalogue, from her early days with the Skylarks and Manhattan Brothers to the end of her career, and includes a collaboration with Nina Simone.
