| Description: | Live In Vienna 1972 is an album by Ben Webster, released in 2012. The album is a jazz CD. - EU-only reissue of this long unavailable 1972 performance at the Porrhaus, in Vienna, Austria. Accompanied by local musicians, the legendary saxophonist displays his magic during a program of well-known standards. Webster, who spent his final years living in Europe, would die in Amsterdam on September 20, 1973. This concert has only previously appeared on a long out of print limited edition CD over two decades ago. It contains Webster's only known versions of Neil Hefti's 'After Supper' and 'Lil' Darlin', ' as well as his only other reading of Jimmy Hamilton's 'Big Shoe' outside of the original studio recording from the 1958 Side by Side LP.
