Subtitle: (1853) A Collection of New and Beautiful Marches, Quick-Steps, Polkas, &C., Arranged in an Easy Manner for Brass Bands of 12 Instruments. Consists of previously released material. Tracks 1 to 22 from the "American Brass Band Journal" (M 34192) recorded at Vanguard Studios, New York City, April 8, 1976. Tracks 23 to 35 from the "American Brass Band Journal Revisited" (Sine Qua Non Superba SAS 2017) recorded in the Coolidge Auditorium, Library of Congress, Washington, D.C., 1977. The liner notes indicate that the full names of Puffhold, Faust (possibly Carl Faust?) and Strauss ("none of the famous Strauss family is known to have written it") are unknown.
