“Now what” is a boring and faceless album. Steve Morse and Don Airey may be good session musicians, but not Deep purple-level musicians. And if the previous album (Rapture of the deep) was hardly pulled out by the star trio, then with "Now what" they were also powerless. It's bitter to see the brightest star in the musical sky steadily slides to dull greyness.

We have an amazing comeback album from the grandees of rock music. This is not just a new or another album of veterans - it is really a fresh work, which even in the 21st century is quite capable of surprising. Deep Purple once again showed the world how to play hard rock. And the Deep Purple question posed in the title of the album is answered very simply with their music: “Now Rock!”.
