Publicado originalmente en 1983 y considerado una piedra angular del epic y traditional heavy metal mundial por su atmósfera única y letras llenas de misticismo y fantasía heroica; canciones como ?Necropolis?, ?The Riddle Master? o el tema homónimo destacan por los potentes riffs y la narrativa musical característica del fundador Mark Shelton (voz/guitarra). Formados en Wichita (Kansas) en 1977 bajo el liderazgo creativo e incansable de Shelton hasta su fallecimiento en 2018; lograron consolidar una fiel base internacional con discos tan influyentes como ?Open the Gates?, ?The Deluge? o ?Mystification?. Moritz N. - 10/02/2015 Generell ist Crystal Logic ein Meilenstein des Heavy Metals, entsprechend kann man natürlich generell nich viel bei diesem Album falsch machen. Das 2CD-Re-Release ist umso interessanter, als dass es noch einige nette Bonusitems mitbringt, die es durchaus Wert sind gehört zu werden. Dazu gehören unter anderem auch zwei unveröffentlichte Songs aus dieser Zeit. Zudem ist die Aufmachung als Digipak sehr ansprechend. Wer das Album noch braucht, kann bedenkenlos zugreifen!
