MEAT AND BONE is the first studio album by the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion in eight years and it's a blistering return to form. The album was recorded on Sly Stones "Riot" Flickinger console at the legendary Key Club Recording Studio in Benton Harbor, MI and mixed in the jungles of New York City.

Recorded October 2011 at the Key Club, Benton Harbor, MI with Bill Skibbe and Jessica Ruffins. Overdubs done November 2011 at NY Hed, NYC with Matt Verta-Ray. Mixed December 2011-January 2012 by Jon Spencer. 5, 6, 7, 9, mixed at Fluxivity, Brooklin NY with Brian Thorn and Ed McEntee. 1, 4, and 12 mixed at Oscilloscope Laboratories, NYC with Andre Kelman. 2 mixed at Deadverse, Union City, NJ with Alap Momin. 3, 8, 10, and 11 mixed at NY Hed, with MVR.
