Description:

Soundtrack to the 1969 motion picture directed by the great Alfred Hitchcock. Composed by Maurice Jarre, this was the first of Hitchcock's movies in years NOT to be scored by Bernard Herrmann. But since Hitch and Herrmann had a falling out over the score to Torn Curtain, the two would never work together again. Regardless, Jarre's score to Topaz was perfectly suited to Hitchcock's vision. A mix of classical, Jazz and Pop, the score is a uniquely original and absorbing piece of work from Jarre, who composed many soundtracks before Topaz and would continue to score films for decades to come. Universal.
