Description:Tool first bashed the face of rock & roll complacency in '92 with the powerful Opiate EP; their full length, Undertow, followed in 1993, along with a slot on that summer's Lollapalooza tour. As word of their blistering live performance spread, MTV began airing the video for "Sober," which garnered the band Billboard's Best New Artist and Best Hard Rock video awards. Now comes Aenima; produced by Dave Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson), the album's 70+ minutes of material will solidify the band's rep as visionary musicians.

For their second release, Tool explore the progressive rock territory previously forged by such bands as King Crimson. However, Tool are conceptually innovative with every minute detail of their art, which sets them apart from most bands.

This album from the known band is deal ing with subjects that will be valid for long, i guess...The singer talks about Arizona-bay and many other songs have a length of 7 minutes or more. Though there is much organized noise and dynamics too, this album remains populair, also because of the singing.,

TOOL has indicated on this CD that they have ideas to develop - they showed it on the next album. But this does not mean that this album is weak - on the contrary, this is a darker album than anything that will later be recorded
