Description:When The Devil's Loose is an album by A.A. Bondy, released in 2009. The alternative album is available in the following configurations: - CD, Digipak - LP - .. LOOSE
A.A. Bondy is actually the birth name (the initials stand for Augeste Arthur) of Scott Bondy the former lead singer of Birmingham, AL's Southern grunge darlings Verbena, who released three records)one produced by Dave Grohl) then called it quits. After Verbena broke up Bondy headed home to the catskill mountains (also the home of the felice brothers) and began work on "American Hearts". "American Hearts" was released in 2008 by Fat Possum and was well received by music fans and musicians. Bondy then toured the US on numerable occasions and was asked to open for Conor Oberst and Bon Iver on their most recent tours. The new record is called When the Devil's Loose. This is what Bondy has to say about it. "To me it sounds like a radio washed ashore after a shipwreck. This whole thing started in upstate New York with snow on the ground. I got out of there, drove around the country for a bit and landed in Water Valley, Mississippi, where I kept working. The days grew longer and the snakes began to wake up. I ate catfish and walked around a lot. We got a lot of rain. The weeds grew at an alarming rate and we finished work one night under a red moon".
