This album, released by Intuition, showcases an extraordinary fusion of free jazz improvisation with contemporary classical music, resulting in a unique sonic experience. The recording stands as a testament to the innovative spirit of both artists: Don Cherry was renowned for his pioneering work in world fusion and free jazz, collaborating with legends like Ornette Coleman and influencing generations of musicians; Krzysztof Penderecki gained international acclaim for his bold orchestral works such as "Threnody to the Victims of Hiroshima."
