 | Beschreibung: | Vinyl LP pressing. 2011 album from the Portland-based Alt-Rock/Folk band. The King Is Dead is a mostly-acoustic set of concise, Americana-based songs, that marks a deliberate turn towards simplicity after the band's wildly ambitious and acclaimed 2009 song-cycle the Hazards of Love. Produced once again by Tucker Martine, the King Is Dead features special guest appearances by Americana luminary Gillian Welch and legendary R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck. The album showcases the ways in which The Decemberists sound just as glorious in simple, stripped-down compositions as they do on the elaborate structures that have defined their work for years. The album was recorded in a converted barn at Pendarvis Farm, an 80-acre estate of lush meadows, forest, and Mt. Hood views outside of Portland., Booking: Creative Artists Agency, Booking: Kevin French (3), Booking: Mike Greek, Booking: Paradigm Talent Agency, Design: Jeri Heiden, Illustration, Lettering: Carson Ellis, Lacquer Cut By: Ron McMaster, Legal: Carroll, Guido & Groffman, LLP, Legal: Gillian Bar, Management: Jason Colton, Management: Red Light Management, Management: Ron Laffitte, Management [Business Management]: David Weise, Management [Business Management]: David Weise & Associates, Mastered By: Stephen Marcussen, Other [Studio Intern]: Andy Schichter, Photography By [Photography]: Autumn DeWilde, Producer [Produced By]: The Decemberists, Producer [Produced By]: Tucker Martine, Product Manager: Dan Cohen (5), Recorded By [Assisted At Pendarvis Farm]: Rich Hipp, Recorded By [Assisted at Sound Factory]: Clinton Welander, Recorded By, Mixed By: Tucker Martine, Songwriter [All Songs Written By]: Colin Meloy, Accordion: Jenny Conlee, Acoustic Guitar, Tenor Guitar, Voice, Harmonica, Pump Organ: Colin Meloy, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: David Rawlings, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: Gillian Welch, Bass: Nate Query, Bouzouki, Pedal Steel Guitar [Pedal Steel]: Chris Funk, Drums [The Drums], Tambourine: John Moen, Mandolin: Peter Buck, Violin: Annalisa Tornfelt, Acoustic Guitar, Voice, Percussion: Colin Meloy, Bass: Nate Query, Drums [The Drums]: John Moen, Organ, Piano: Jenny Conlee, Tambourine: Tucker Martine, Twelve-String Guitar [12-String Electric Guitar]: Peter Buck, Acoustic Guitar, Voice, Harmonica: Colin Meloy, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: Gillian Welch, Bass: Nate Query, Drums [The Drums], Tambourine: John Moen, Pedal Steel Guitar [Pedal Steel]: Chris Funk, Piano: Jenny Conlee, Accordion: Jenny Conlee, Acoustic Guitar, Voice: Colin Meloy, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: Gillian Welch, Bass: Nate Query, Bouzouki: Chris Funk, Drums [The Drums]: John Moen, Violin: Annalisa Tornfelt, Acoustic Guitar, Voice: Colin Meloy, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice], Shaker: John Moen, Guitar [Octave Guitar]: Chris Funk, Organ: Jenny Conlee, Accordion: Jenny Conlee, Acoustic Guitar, Voice, Harmonica: Colin Meloy, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: Gillian Welch, Bass: Nate Query, Drums [The Drums], Tambourine: John Moen, Electric Guitar, Baritone Guitar: Peter Buck, Acoustic Guitar, Voice: Colin Meloy, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: Gillian Welch, Bass: Nate Query, Drums [The Drums], Tambourine: John Moen, Electric Guitar, Banjo: Chris Funk, Fiddle: Annalisa Tornfelt, Piano: Jenny Conlee, Accordion, Electric Piano [Wurlitzer Electric Piano]: Jenny Conlee, Acoustic Guitar, Voice, Harmonica: Colin Meloy, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: David Rawlings, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: Gillian Welch, Bass: Nate Query, 12-String Acoustic Guitar, Twelve-String Guitar [12-String Electric Guitar], Voice, Harmonica, Baritone Guitar, Percussion: Colin Meloy, Bass: Nate Query, Drums [The Drums]: John Moen, Organ: Jenny Conlee, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: David Rawlings, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: Gillian Welch, Backing Vocals [Backing Voice]: Laura Veirs, Bass, Cello: Nate Query, Drums [The Drums], Shaker: John Moen, Electric Piano [Wurlitzer Electric Piano]: Jenny Conlee, Pedal Steel Guitar [Pedal Steel]: Chris Funk, Voice, Acoustic Guitar: Colin Meloy, Labelcode(s) 509996 42727 1 9, Manufactured By Capitol Records, Phonographic Copyright (p) Capitol Records, Copyright (c) Capitol Records, Published By Music Of Stage Three, Published By Osterohzhna Music, Published By Stage Three Music, Recorded At Pendarvis Farm, Recorded At Flora Recording & Playback, Recorded At The Sound Factory, Mixed At Flora Recording & Playback, Mastered At Marcussen Mastering, Designed At SMOG Design, Inc., Pressed By Rainbo Records, Pressed By Rainbo Records"The King Is Dead" ist ein gefeiertes Album der Band The Decemberists und erscheint hier als Vinyl Maxi beim renommierten Label Capitol Records.
