 | 描述: | Swedish riff-lords Grand Magus return with the Hunt, their sixth full-length album and their first album for Nuclear Blast. The Hunt is a full-on metal assault that journeys beyond the course of their last outing, 2010's Hammer of the North, to it's inevitable, crushing destination. Drawing hefty influence from the hand-on-heart grandeur of the NWOBHM and the inspirational mythology of their forbears, Grand Magus are steeped in pre-Christian tales of triumph, vengeance, betrayal, romance and death. With a healthy nod to '70s hard rock and stoner rock influences (what the band likes to call doom blues), they build their characteristic-rolling stomp into an all-out battle charge, taking their epic sound to new levels of unshakeable might., Runningtime: 00:00:00, Labelcode NUBI6129012.2 (NB 2901-2, 27361 29012), Phonographic Copyright (p) Nuclear Blast, Copyright (c) Nuclear Blast, Manufactured By Nuclear Blast GmbH, Distributed By Nuclear Blast GmbH | | No. of tracks: |

Alexander S. - 2020年 09月 08日 The long play of new Swedish heavy metal heroes proves one very obvious consideration - the genre cannot be considered completely bent, since from time to time there are new names that can deservedly attract the attention of fans of the "old guard". However, with all due respect to the undoubted talents of the Swedes, it is not easy to call them a “growing change”. In general, it is difficult to imagine someone who could take the place, for example, Judas Priest. And although the Grand Magus undoubtedly wrote “The Hunt” under the strong influence of the “British Steel” album (perhaps the sound is more “Swedish”, not so refined), but the same level of originality of compositional thinking, solo fireworks and clingy guitar swing The "Magus" is clearly beyond reach. Although, perhaps, on the early albums things are better - that's a reason to check them out. Unlike the multitudes of many modern heavy and power bands, whose chants cause uncontrollable boredom and even nausea (take some Hydrogyn or 3 Inches of Blood (forgive me, Tru-XMP fans!)), In case one cannot but admit Grand Magus - they deserve to be familiar with their discography. Actually, the reason for this is three or five very strong and solid pieces, the main of which are “Storm King” and “Silver Moon”.
