Description:Snow Angels by Over The Rhine, released 2 October 2007, includes the following tracks: "White Horse", "New Redemption Song", "Snowed In With You", "Here It Is" and more. This version of Snow Angels comes as a 1xCD. -
Now for something a little different. Finally: The perfect CD for music lovers who appreciate a great song, and are burnt out on typical holiday fare. Over the Rhine's SNOW ANGELS is unlike any holiday record you've ever heard. This collection of ten, brand new, original songs, many of which feel destined to become modern Christmas classics, conjures the spirit of Joni Mitchell's "The River" or John Lennon's "War Is Over", and yet the recordings embodied in SNOW ANGELS have a unique groove all their own.
Recorded at Nowhere Farm and Alex the Great, Nashville, Tennessee. Additional recording at Echo Park Studios, Bloomington, Indiana. Mastered at SAE Mastering, Phoenix, Arizona. The title "North Pole Man" was inspired by a drawing by Polly Wilson, Age 7, called "North Pole Man Holding A Map Looking For A Warm Place."
