This compilation entitled Greatest Mixers Collection from Sleeping Bag Records is unique in the fact that it celebrates the artist who actually mixed the original recording. During the early 80's disco scene, the DJs were the stars, bigger than the producers and the artists that recorded the hits. This compilation boasts an all-star line up featuring Larry Levan (DJ at the legendary Garage) and heavyweights Francois K & Danny Krivit, among others. Original cover art by Gemini & Gnome included. This album was first released in 1985 on vinyl only. This will be the first time many of these tracks have ever appeared on CD.
