Description:Broadway star Maggie Garret sings for her supper. And for everybody else's. She's the meal ticket for relatives who sap her of money and time, rob her of the joy of living. "Joy Of Living" is a delightful musical comedy film released in 1938 by RKO Radio Pictures, now available on DVD. The story follows Margaret Garret (Irene Dunne), a successful Broadway star whose life takes an unexpected turn when she meets the carefree and charming Dan Brewster (Douglas Fairbanks Jr.). Their whirlwind romance brings laughter, music, and heartfelt moments as Margaret learns to embrace spontaneity and joy beyond her structured career. Directed by Tay Garnett, this classic features memorable songs and energetic dance numbers that capture the spirit of Hollywood's golden age.
