World Is Yours

Traditionally, there is no chance to say anything new and not banal about the band's sound. There are hits, the usual drive, professional performance, and if maestro Kilmister, due to his considerable age, is noticeably weakening at concerts, then on the new album he sings exactly the same as on the previous ones released with a 2-year interval. However, on each subsequent disc, Motörhead imperceptibly changed, presenting to the listener's judgment the fast and monotonous "We Are Motörhead", the unexpectedly melodic "Hammered", the crushing "Inferno", which was immediately recruited by fans into the new classics of the band, the brutal "Kiss Of Death" and the philosophical in mood, but temperamental "Motörizer". The new creation with the conceptual title "The Wörld Is Yours" was destined to become a kind of flashback, of all the previous ones, this album most convincingly resembles the old works of Motörhead, taking us to the era of the unforgettable classics of the legendary band, when life was more fun, beer was colder, and skirts were shorter. And the matter here, most likely, is not only in the first-class (as has become usual) material, but in the atmosphere, taking the listener to the distant times of "Rock 'n' Roll" and "1916", nevertheless, remaining true to the style of recent works. Excellent hits are the opening "Born To Lose", the long-awaited-fast and punchy "I Know How To Die", "Get Back In Line", (a funny video, filmed for the song, evokes associations with the daring theme of "Eat The Rich") and "Brotherhood Of Man", warmly received by the fans of the band. The remaining numbers are not labeled as "passable", but there is an unobtrusive reminder that the times are not right for composing new classics - in the context of this album, they take their rightful place. The hits contained on the record will be mentioned more than once. I am going to draw attention to the following - considering the increased didactic-philosophical theme of the songs on the 4 previous albums of the group, each of which features several compositions dedicated mainly to the younger generation and profound thoughts about global problems, together with new tracks on the same theme (the already mentioned "Born To Lose" and "Brotherhood Of Man"), the title of the new album "The Wörld Is Yours" looks either indifferent ("Take this completely degraded world for yourself"), or philosophical, like, the world is in your hands, look at the root of the mistakes we have indicated, be honest and noble, which we call for on each of our albums. Yes, even such a free-thinking person as Lemmy Kilmister is characterized by wise old-fashioned instructions to the younger generation. This is worthy of approval, as is the new little masterpiece from his group.
