Purple Noon is a classic 1960 French thriller directed by René Clément, based on Patricia Highsmith?s novel "The Talented Mr. Ripley." This Criterion DVD edition offers a beautifully restored version of the film, renowned for its suspenseful storytelling and stunning Mediterranean cinematography. The story follows Tom Ripley (Alain Delon), an American sent to Italy to retrieve a wealthy playboy but who becomes entangled in deception and murder.
