The CD begins with Smith performing with Lewis' Jazz Band in New Orleans, April 1965 - tracks featured are Thriller Rag, B Flat Blues, Get Out of Here, Blues in E Flat and You Can't Escape from Me (Takes 1 & 2). Then there are four tracks from Smith with Jimmy Archey's Hot Six, recorded in New York in 1966 - Original Dixieland One Step, Franklin St Blues, Weary Blues and Kid Sonny's Blues.
