Description:

Tao features two different sessions, the last four tracks were recorded live in concert in Udine, Italy, in 1976 while the first six tracks were recorded in 1984 in a studio in Bologna, Italy. Soprano saxophonist Steve Lacy and percussionist Andrea Centazzo perform improvised music called Tao 1-10, featuring Lacy's spiky, angular melodies and improvisations with Centazzo supplying empathetic support. Digitally re-mastered CD.

Disc housed in a three-leaf cardboard jacket, sealed with a printed wrap-around strip. Tracks 1-6 recorded at Ictus Studios, Bologna in November 1984; Tracks 7-10 recorded in concert at Zanon Auditorium, Udine, Italy, on 18 February 1976. All previously unreleased. Also released as part of Ictus Records' 30th Anniversary Collection.
