Dan Block is a peerless reed player, arranger, composer, bandleader. A new CD captures his many imaginations whole. Every track has it's own sound and is respectfully inventive. This CD of his arrangements of Ellington tunes is a superb introduction to his gorgeous, breathy sax and his sweet clarinet sound as well as his lyrical style of playing.
