Description: | Miles' quintet (with George Coleman, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tony Williams) was a band for the ages, one that performed with an incandescent beauty remarkable even for them on February 12, 1964 at Lincoln Center. Their explorations of All of You; Stella by Starlight; All Blues; I Thought About You, and the title classic are joined by revelatory new notes by Carter!Reissue and remaster of Original LP CS 9106 (released in february 1965). All songs originally released in 1965.
Recorded live at the Philharmonic Hall at the Lincoln Center (New York City) on February 12th, 1964. The Musicians played a benefit concert for voter registration in Mississippi and Louisiana, which was sponsored by the NAACP defense fund, the Congress for racial equality and the Student nonviolent coordinating comitee.
