LTM Publishing are pleased to announce the release of this 19 track CD of archive tracks by Belgian post-punk band THE Names best remembered for a string of superior singles & album on the Factory & Crepuscule labels between 1980 & 1982 all produced by the legendary Martin Hannett. SPECTATORS OF LIFE includes all three tracks from the impossibly rare debut 7 single from 1979 (the title track included) plus no less than 10 live tracks recorded between 1979 & 1981 of which 8 are son.

Made in England. Tracks 1 to 3 - Originally released on [m=11042] debut 7", 1979. Recorded at Alain Pierre Studios, Brussels. Tracks 4 to 8 - Live RTB 'Impedance' Radio Show, Belgium, 1979. Tracks 9 to 12 - Live in Oostakker, Belgium, 1980. Track 13 - Live in Alost, Belgium, 1981. Track 14 - From Crepuscule Christmas Compilation [r=655065] TWI 058, 1981. Engineered at Studio Decembre, Brussels. Tracks 15 and 16 - Originally released as B Sides to [m=11103] (TWI 111), 1982. Tracks 17 and 18 - Re-Union Studio Recordings, 1994-1995. Recoreded at Her Studio in Ternat, Belgium. Track 19 - Recorded February, 1982. Track 18 is a cover of [a=The Passions].
