Descripción:	Nach elf Jahren Haft wird der ehemalige DDR-Bürger Martin Schulz aus dem Gefängnis Brandenburg entlassen. Personalausweis, Führerschein, Geldbörse - Martins alte DDR-Habe taugt gerade noch zum Papierfliegerbasteln. Draußen wartet eine Welt, die Martin nur aus dem Fernsehen kennt. Das Neue ist da, das Alte noch nicht ganz verschwunden. Zufällige Begegnungen mit alten Freunden, neue Bekanntschaften, das Wiedersehen mit seiner Frau Manuela, die im schwäbischen Lehrer Wolfgang einen neuen Lebenspartner gefunden hat, sein Sohn Rokko, den er nun zum ersten Mal trifft - neugierig, zäh, charmant und couragiert beginnt Martin, sich die neue Welt zu eigen zu machen.
