RAVEN/DEDRINGER/STEEL/VENOM/FIST A.O.UK collection of rare and rockin' NWOBHM tracks from the Neat Records label. Wallsend, Tyne & Wear's Neat records label was the Motown of NWOBHM and from their tiny Impulse studio in Wallsend high street, magic flooded into the market place! Alongside the EMI 'Metal for Muthas' release, this and the accompanying 'Lead Weight' release are the finest possible snap shots of a time and place at the birth of a movement that gave the world some of today's biggest rock bands. All of the label's big hitters are represented - Raven, Venom, White Spirit featuring future Iron Maiden guitarist Janik Gers - as well as a smattering of youthful hopefuls, such as Axis, Sabre and Persian Risk. Never before available on CD outside of Japan - and even there it has been unavailable for nearly twenty years! - this is a must have for rock fans everywhere. Krescendo.This edition is issued in a standard jewel case with a transparent tray, a fold-out 6-page booklet and an inlay.

The original press of this compilation [r=5218737] included the song "Lost And Found" instead, like it is written in the tracklist on the inlay. "Throwing In The Towel" was originally released on the compilation [m=681922] in 1981. |
