This is the first piano/bass duo jazz recording by bassist David Friesen & pianist Jeff Gardner, and the duo shines through the sheer inventiveness & virtuosity of the playing in a wide range of original compositions. High points include the elegant, Latin-flavored opening track "Esquencendo," the spectacular opening bass solo on "Change of Heart," and the understated swing of the jazz standard "All the Things You Are." David plays a rare Hemage electric upright bass, hand-built by H. Erlacher in Austria.
