Back Cover: These hybrid discs play on both CD & SACD players SACD SURROUND / SACD STEREO / CD STEREO [r=12762547] originally released as BIS-SACD-1431 in August 2005. The Brandenburg Concertos are a new recording, not the previously released 2000 recording. On this new recording, some cello parts are played by violinists using the violoncello da spalla ("shoulder cello") designed by Dmitry Badiarov. Track durations taken from disc rather than booklet, as the booklet ignores long gaps at the end of each piece. The booklet erroneously omits "assai" from the third movement of Concerto No. 2, and credits only "violino I, II" for three violinists on Concerto No. 3.
