The Fonotopia U series records were recorded in 1927 in the hall of the Milan Institute for the Blind. The Homocord (the Odeon F series are re-pressing of Homocord masters) date back to the same year. In both cases, the orchestra is shown as 'Grande Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano'. On the Homocord records, it is shown as 'Grande coro diretto dal Maestro Vittore Veneziani' and it too was made up of members of La Scala choruses. The Grammofono S 10101 record indicates 'Members of la Scala Theatre Orchestra' and the CM 861/62 masters are dated 1928.
This record is accompanied by an 8-page booklet, which contains notes in Italian with an English translation.
