Drummer Nat Yarbrough has selected some of the best musicians from the Denver jazz scene for his debut release. This world-class group includes tenor man Javon Jackson (from Art Blakey's group), Brad Leali (alto soloist from the Basie band), trumpeter Greg Gisbert, pianist Eric Gunnison and D. Minor (Nat's bass sidekick for over 30 years). D. played with Nat and Gene Harris in one of the incarnations of the "Three Sounds" and were the number one trio for national acts coming through Denver. This is a great bop recording with mostly original compositions and a few standards.
