 | Description: | Sun Structures by Temples, released 10 February 2014, includes the following tracks: "The Golden Throne", "Mesmerise", "Colours To Life", "The Guesser" and more.
This version of Sun Structures comes as a 1xCD. - After a steady build up of stateside buzz and support, Kettering, England's favorite psychedelic sons Temples are announcing their debut full-length, Sun Structures. It's a record that's destined to set out the band's stall as Britain's premier retro-futurists, with influences ranging from '60s psychedelia to Motown, glam, and Krautrock, all viewed through a very modern kaleidoscope - and always keeping the song at the heart of it all. Recorded in the box-room of guitarist/vocalist James Bagshaw's home, the aim was "Jack Nietzsche on a DIY budget," and with one listen to first single off the record, "Mesmerize," it's pretty clear that they've succeeded."Sun Structures" is the debut album by British psychedelic rock band Temples, released in 2014 on CD format. This record captures a vibrant blend of shimmering guitars, hypnotic rhythms, and lush harmonies that pay homage to the golden era of '60s psychedelia while forging a modern sound all their own. The album features standout tracks like "Shelter Song," "Mesmerise," and "Keep in the Dark," each showcasing Temples' knack for melodic hooks and atmospheric production. Since their formation in 2012, Temples have quickly risen to prominence within the neo-psychedelic scene, earning critical acclaim and touring with acts such as Suede and Kasabian. Their innovative approach has garnered them spots at major festivals worldwide. The label behind this release, Pias Coop/Heavenly Recordings, is renowned for supporting groundbreaking artists across genres since its inception; Heavenly has been instrumental in launching influential acts like Saint Etienne and Doves. | | No. of tracks: |
