Description:The founder and leader of Toronto's award-winning Brass Connection through the '80s returns to the studio with his 10-piece big band that's been together since 1993. Produced by Hamilton and Mark Taylor, the band features top players from the US Military Jazz Ensembles. Inspired by the Stan Kenton Orchestra of the '50s and arrangers such as Bill Holman & Mark Taylor, Hamilton didn't pick up the trombone until he was 40 and quickly made up for lost time studying arranging & trombone at night while being the head of surgery at two hospitals during the day."... a powerful affinity for swing resonating with a consistent deep groove - Dr. Herb Wong.
