Grieg wrote roughly 250 bars of a Piano Quintet in his sketchbook before abandoning the work. 120 years after it's being set aside, composer Michael Finnissy's refashioned Grieg quintet received it's definitive performance at the 2013 Bergen International Festival. Finnissy's own Greig-Quintettsatz also graces this disc. The Kreutzer Quartet are dedicatees of hundreds of new works. Pianist Roderick Chadwick broadcasts regularly on BBC Radio 3 and teaches at the Royal Academy of Music.
