The Olé Coltrane session marked the last date the saxophonist did for Atlantic Records and his second recorded collaboration with Eric Dolphy, with whom he had recorded the first of the Africa Brass sessions only two days before. Four quartet tracks from Coltrane's previous studio date for the Atlantic have been added here as a bonus (bonus tracks 5 to 8). Issued in a standard jewel case with a clear tray. Ivica S. - 24/May/2020 5 of 5 Stars!
Coltrane's unique use of intervals has always what has been his hallmark, some slow and bluesy, others as in the changes of "fast songs" blindingly fast and complex. Highly recommended
