Description:

This is young guitarist Josh Workman's first recording as a leader. The title indicates a musical cross over into a number of stylistic areas, such as swing, bebop, contemporary - and over geographic borders of Central/South America, and Central Europe. Josh appears on pianist Larry Vuckovich's recent CD, "Reunion" (TCH #682), featuring Jon Hendricks, that placed in the Top 25 on the JazzWeek charts, as well as Larry's earlier recording, "Young at Heart" (RBM #6001). Josh also tours and records with the "Hot Club of San Francisco" and toured and recorded with the former jump swing band, "Indigo Swing." While living in N.Y., he recorded on "Jazz Passengers in Love" and several albums with members of the Groove Collective.
