Combining disparate elements of electronics (Doddi), clarinet (Aslaug Run Magnusdottir) and Jofridur Akadottir's hauntingvoice, Samaris mix glacial Electronica and bold, percussive beats withhaunting chant-like vocals - the lyrics culled from 19th centuryIcelandic poems. The effect is simultaneously ancient andmodern - an ethereal sound filled with dark spaces and alien atmosphere.
