Description:Practicing Self Defense not only brings US a better physical condition but also a greater self-confidence, which leads US to master our emotions and to be able to face any situation. Self Defense is far from being a mix of tips that are easy to learn and with miraculous effects. Rather, it's a precise science which can reach the limits of any art for anyone who'll be able to bind power, precision and sharpness together. It should be learned with commitment, thanks to easy basics and then following a logical progression from the simplest to the most complex techniques. It is impossible to improvise when you are a beginner. Improvisation is a luxury that cannot be allowed until the elementary techniques are known. Being efficient can be summed up in a few words: you act when you must, where you must, no more than you must. Such a motto relies on a great deal of self-control, which can only be taught through preparation and training. Instructor Jean-Michel Pinard has been practicing martial arts for more than 25 years, he has studied various styles: judo, Ju jitsu, aikido, Krav-maga, Sambo, Rapid-Defense-system, and Penchak-Silat system (FISFO Charles Joussot). He's currently an instructor certified by Joussot and is a representative for the FISFO System for Switzerland at the Jorat Dojo Lausanne Vaud.
