2014 release from the veteran vocalist. Ron Cartel was born and raised by Italian immigrant parents in the musical melting pot that is Harlem, New York City. Surrounded from an early age by such a rich mix of musical influences from Rhythm and Blues, Soul, to Jazz, Blues and Gospel, it's hardly a surprise that music and performance is in Ron's bones. After starting to sing professionally whilst still in his teens, Ron spent the following four decades working with some of America's top artists in some of the country's most iconic musical locations - New York City, Los Angeles and New Orleans. In 2001 Ron moved to Europe and brought with him his years of experience, love and passion American roots music. After spending 11 years in Switzerland, Ron returned to the USA in late 2012. Where he found inspiration for his album Don't Make the Monkey Drunk.
