Booklet Notes
It?s been some time now since Bob Dylan?s songs filled my heart, soul and being. I recorded Every Grain of Sand with Linn in 2002 and the work for it began a couple of years before that. But some of Dylan?s songs had lived deep in me from far before that and lay like sleeping spies waiting for the cue to shake me awake. And then, there was no going back.
I?ll never stop loving and recording this great, vast repertoire, encompassing every landscape of the human condition ? from desert storm to pastoral river valley, from the tingling of skin in autumn sunshine to the cooling heart when love has left us with nothing but bare, windswept rock.
As I started to venture out on another live tour celebrating Dylan?s songs, Linn asked if we might collate all the post Every Grain of Sand recordings. So here they are, with the addition of four songs I?ve been singing live, recorded for this collection. |
