It was but a few years after founding the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century in 1981 that Frans Brüggen first turned his attention to the music ofBeethoven's Nine Symphonies. He returned to immerse himself anew in this glorious music with a 2011 complete cycle which saw release by Glossa in 2012. From that survey, the Fifth and Sixth Symphonies now reappear on Glossa Cabinet.
