2014 release from multi-instrumentalist and composer Alejandro Franov, the key figure in the Argentinean experimental music scene. Solo Piano is Franov's newest output and no doubt his most heartfelt and lyrical album ever. The album was recorded at a home studio in the Andes of Southern part of South America. There, he was inspired by this sacred mountain called Piltriquitron which brought to him a special feeling - the same feeling when he created his last album CHAMPAQUI, which was also inspired by a mountain but this time, using just the piano instead of electronics and field recordings. The melody lines and the touches of piano is just beautiful and elegant, sounding as if something has took over his body, and playing innocently without any intentions. The picture of the album cover is a scenery of Otamendi nature reserve which he lives nearby and also the motif for track 3. a perfect model of 'Simple is beautiful', and an album to spend the long winter with.
