2014 album from the singer/songwriter. A celebratory, love-struck album of sublime dream pop, WALK THROUGH WALLS was born at a time of profound sadness. In 2011, on the day Herzig was scheduled to launch the Waking Sleep tour, her mother, Cheryl, passed away after several years of battling cancer. For the nine months that followed, Katie toured the world in what she calls 'a difficult, emotional blur.' Then after playing a set at Bonnaroo, Katie found herself standing in the middle of 50,000 people watching Radiohead play their show. 'I was so inspired and so scared, because I suddenly had that old, familiar feeling that I just had to go home and create. But I hadn't written a song since my mom passed away, and I was terrified.' the result is WALK THROUGH WALLS, a collection of 12 songs recorded with co-producer Cason Cooley at their studios in Nashville, TN and mixed by Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend) at Blackbird Studios in Nashville.
