Either Argyle Lounge, Chicago, IL on Nov. 11-23, 1947; or Pershing Ballroom on January 3-6, 1948 (tracks 10 to 13). Washington Music Hall, Washington D.C. on May 23, 1948 (track 9) (two fragments: 2:22 and 0:44). Pershing Ballroom, Chicago, IL in late 1949 (track 17). Howard Theatre, Washington D.C. on February 21-22, 1953 (tracks 14 to 16). Interview #2 by John McLellan, Boston, MA on June 13, 1953 (track 18). KXLA and AFRS Jubilee, NBC Studios (not seen on CD) added above with Hollywood substituted for Los Angeles in one instance, info taken from online discography at plosin.com.
